72-item SQ-FFQ
72-item Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire
The semi-quantitative questionnaire, with a cafeteria of 6 answers to choose from, it contains questions about the frequency of consumption of 72 food items in the last 12 months and allows for a description of the respondent's habitual diet. The respondents can choose from 6 categories of food consumption frequency: (1) never or almost never, (2) once a month or less, (3) several times a month, (4) several times a week, (5) daily, (6 ) several times a day.
The obtained data regarding the frequency of food consumption is in a qualitative data format and can be transformed into semi-quantitative data that reflects the daily frequency of food consumption (times/day).
Based on the collected data, respondents can be ranked in relation to food consumption and/or their characteristic dietary patterns (DPs) can be identified.
For each of the 72 food items, standard food portion sizes for adults (universal for both sexes) were provided which, with the use of the tables of food composition and nutritional value, allow for obtaining the quantitative data on the energy and nutritional value of the habitual diet of adults.
The possibilities of developing data from the 72-item SQ-FFQ questionnaire are described in the publication (with supplementary materials) given below.
