All food frequency questionnaires (FFQs) have been validated and are of good quality as tools for measuring and assessing diet quality. Any significant modification to the FFQ requires revalidation of those questions that have been changed according to scientific standards.

If researchers have specific needs when conducting their research, I recommend the modification and validation of the FFQ to researchers with experience in this area. The principles of FFQ validation are described, among others, in publication by Wądołowska [2013].
